As a Sergeant (E-5) Adminitraive Control (ADCON) to the 14th Military Police Det. of the 94th Military Police Battalion assigned Operational Control (OPCON) to the U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) Provost Marshal’s Office within the Customs & Black Marketing Division, supporting law enforcement and regulatory operations across the entire Korean Theater. Conducted and coordinated customs enforcement and black market investigations to prevent, detect, and deter the illegal importation, exportation, sale, and distribution of controlled and prohibited goods involving U.S. personnel and affiliated entities. Enforced U.S. and host-nation agreements, military regulations, and theater policies, ensuring compliance with customs requirements and safeguarding the integrity of U.S. Forces Korea operations.
Collaborated with military law enforcement units, investigative agencies, and Republic of Korea counterparts to plan and execute inspections, surveillance, and joint operations. Prepared detailed reports, case files, and briefings for senior leaders, contributing to command decision-making and theater-wide enforcement initiatives. Provided subject-matter expertise on customs and black marketing issues, supported training and awareness programs, and upheld professional standards while operating in a complex, multinational environment with strategic-level impact.
